Understanding ISO 410012018 Facility Management System (18 - 19 September 2023) The Gardens Hotel, Kuala Lumpur

OVERVIEW

Facility management is one of the fastest-growing management areas worldwide. It is an interdisciplinary business function, which aims to establish coordination between the demand and supply of Facility and services within all types of organisations. Facility management is vital for all organisations that engage in the management, operation and maintenance of the workplace, its assets and operational eciencies.

Why Organisations Should Have ISO 41001:2018 Facility Management System?

ISO 41001:2018 FM Management System (FMMS) Standard was published in April 2018 by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO). The intention of implementing an FMMS is to guide organisations to improve performance by specifying repeatable steps that FM consciously implement to achieve their objectives and performance targets, and to create a culture that reflexively engages in a continuous cycle of self-evaluation, correction and improvement of operations and processes through heightened employee awareness and management leadership and commitment. It focuses on building, implementing, maintaining and improving an integrated facility management system in organisations so that business operations can be carried out effortlessly. It is the world’s first standard for facility management systems, against which a facility management organisation can be assessed and measured.

Who Can Implement ISO 41001:2018?

ISO 41001:2018 is a non-sector specific international standard, and therefore, it can be used worldwide by all organisations involved in facility management. Both public and private sector organisations can use it, irrespective of their type, size and nature. Organisations having other management systems in practice can also implement ISO 41001 facility management system. Integration with other management systems, such as ISO 9001 quality management system, ISO 14001 environmental management system and ISO 45001 occupational health and safety management systems is not a dicult task as all such management systems share a common structure and approach.

In this intensive 2-Day training, it will cover the “What” (ISO requirements) and the “How”, in conforming to the auditable clauses requirements. ISO 41001:2018 Facility Management System provides a structured framework that helps organisations to meet the upcoming market potentials and challenges. The understanding of the FM Management System will be explained by a renowned FM practitioner, translating the seemingly complex ISO Management System, into easy to understand terms.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM When performance isn’t managed properly, organizations end up paying for it in silence: people are unsure of what “success” even looks like, goals are set randomly, evaluations feel inconsistent, and teams start dragging under the weight of unclear expectations . Managers avoid tough conversations, reviews get reduced to a quick number or percentage, and small problems grow into full-blown performance issues that could’ve been fixed early. Without a clear, structured framework, both HR and managers struggle to maintain fairness, alignment, and accountability. Time gets wasted. Talented people lose motivation. Underperformance slips through the cracks. And the organization misses chance after chance to strengthen its talent pipeline. This two-day program equips Managers and Team Leaders with practical, usable tools to set meaningful KPIs, align them with organizational objectives, identify Key Result Areas, and understand the core components of a proper Performance Management System. Participants will learn how to create clarity, maintain consistent standards, and drive performance conversations that actually lead to improvement rather than confusion. The goal is simple: turn performance management into a disciplined, repeatable process that supports employee growth and organizational results; not a once-a-year form-filling ritual. JOIN US to build a performance culture where clarity is the norm, accountability is shared, and every review becomes a genuine driver of progress and growth.
